Website Support - View Support Thread

Two Items:

I would like to get website access for two individuals so they can upload photos to the site. One is Deb Olesen; her e-mail is dejal_1@yahoo.com The other is Brenda Knutson; e-mail knutbdee@comcast.net

Secondly, I renamed some photo album categories the other night. Now I can no longer view the photos. Is there a way to recover the original category names? If not, it'll just by trial & error for me. The wording in the site implies that you can 'edit' a category. If you cannot rename a file it would be worthwhile to state that. A last note on photos: can you no longer view a larger photo by clicking on the thumbnail?

The two individuals need to submit a username request via the form on the right side of the home page.  ONce submitted, it will be processed.  If they need site access, then their names must be in the board page for validation.  If they need team page access, then they just request access for the specific team.

You can recover photo categories by adding them right back in.  The photos will still be there.

You are correct, we have enhanced the photo feature with a photo album type of look.

Let me see if I can get more relevant answers to my other questions.

Photo Categories - When I edited category names, I lost the ability to view those photos. I realize I need to go back to the prior names to regain them.
QUESTION #1 - Can you check a history file of any kind to supply me the previous names?
QUESTION #2 - It's not at all clear that renaming a category will end your ability to retrieve photos. In fact, why is there any option to edit categories at all, if in doing so, you lose hte existing pathway to photos? I can see deleting, I can see creating new categories, but what would be the purpose of editing? perhaps that option should be removed, or at least tagged with an explanation.

Viewing Photos - Yes, I can see you've changed the view of the photos. But here are my questions:
QUESION #3 - Is there a way to see the photo any size larger than the thumbnail? Previously clicking on the thumbnail provided a larger view.
QUESTION #4 - If the view is now album instead of rows & columns, why do we still need to go to the tedium of inputting an order choice and a column choice for each and every photo uploaded?

Looking forward to answers to those 4 questions.

Question#1 - No we have no history of what the previous names were on file.
Question#2 - Mike would know best about this option but he is currently out of town. If this is an urgent issue I can try to contact him, but if not he will be back in a few days.
Question#3 - If you are talking about in the Admin part of the website, you can still click each photo and see a larger picture. If you are talking about viewing the photos on the normal site, if you right click the photo you can zoom in.
Question#4 - Again, I understand what you are speaking about and Mike would know best how the system works and that rows & columns might still be needed in order for the system to read and display them properly. If this is urgent though I can try to contact him about it.
